Not working since iOS 10 upgrade

Before the iOS 10 update this vpn app was great. Since iOS 10 the connect sequence keeps going in circles and never connects. Then you cant stop the sequence even after closing the app or rebooting. The only way to stop it is going into the settings and turning off the "connect on demand" setting in the info tab for the vpn profile. I am on brand new iPhone 7 Plus.
